Hawthorn Heights were successful in the tender competition for the installation of two full sized 3G sports pitches at Kemnay Academy, and were appointed the role of main contractor. The project involved redevelopment of the existing grass pitches to upgrade them to full sized symmetrical synthetic pitches to service the academy and local community. The project had a strict time frame of three months to be completed and we completed it two weeks ahead of schedule.
Key components of the project:

Lux testing carried out and adjusted to ensure the pitch met the Lux lighting levels required

•Implementation of Traffic Management Plan for the duration of the works, due to the location of the working area within close proximity to the Academy grounds. Health & Safety was paramount & all health & safety procedures strictly adhered to
•Gold Card site manager on site at all times managing project progress
•Deployment of a dedicated team of 8 personnel to ensure the project was delivered within the timeframe. Project completed ahead of schedule & within budget constraints
•We managed the project efficiently ensuring completion on time & defect free & deployed all necessary resources to ensure high standards of quality & health & safety
•We ensured that all works were carried out within the confines of the site in the prevention of disruption to the pupils & school traffic. We certified transparent communication at all times with Academy & Council representatives, providing daily progress photos, which were provided in the handover file
As with all contracts, we endeavoured to make good any defects prior to any rectification periods. Any defects in either ground works/equipment were identified and eradicated immediately. To date, Hawthorn Heights have not had to return to rectify any defects.
